Well, I'm thinking, since Loreal is the mastermind behind so many of, at least my favourite brands(The body shop, Lancome, Vichy, Maybelline), it makes you wonder: Is all the products actually mainly the same? Just with different prices, advertising and market groups? Are we actually fooled when we spend so much on a lipgloss from Lancome, when we can get exactly the same for half the prize from Maybelline... I don't like Loreals H.I.P. cosmetics..? I don't like Loreal H.I.P cosmetics because they are just a bad version of Mac cosmetics. They colors look too bold and out there. They look so trashy and cheap. It looks bad on the models. The only thing I like are there blushes.

Merle Norman Cosmetics? I have been using Cover Girl and Loreal Paris makeup and lately I haven' been too happy with it. I'm thinking about using Merle Norman cosmetics, but I'm not sure if it's something worth buying. My skin type is fair, usually oily, and my cheeks are usually a reddish pinkish when I wake up. Mac Cosmetics Help!!!!? I love M.A.C cosmetics but it can get expensive for me. I am only 13, I wear eyeshadow and mascara but that is mostly it. I wear some lip stuff too. Help! I'm trying to find a valid cruelty-free cosmetics list pertaining to products available in Belgium.? I am SO confused. I have read Peta's list of cosmetic companies that DO and DON'T animal test but now I see in various other sites (eg:http://www.uncaged.co.uk/crueltyfree.htm) that the Body Shop (sold to Loreal in 2006) and Beiersdorf and Clinique which were on Peta's 'DONT animal-test' list are not cruelty-free companies according to other listings. I am SO confused and frustrated. I don't see how I can ever stop using animal and animal-tested products when I cannot even find reliable info. :( Furthermore ALL the suggested cruelty-free (as in vegan, free from animal-derived substances and products and free from animal testing in end product AND ingredients) product lists I find are almost all about American, Canadian and UK brands/companies. I live in Belgium and have no idea what these brands are, let alone where to find them. Most are not available here. Why does my eyeshadow and make-up fade to nothing within a few hours? i use Almay and Loreal cosmetics---i make sure my face is clean and dry, applying the foundation/concealer combo first---apply eye shadows, liner, mascara, then light blush, lipstick and use a big brush to lightly apply a powder finish---looks great for about an hour, the liners and lipstick are the first to go, then total wash out with the eye shadows and blush by the 2nd hour. i don't have oily skin, but do get clogged pores around my chin area. i am 40 yrs old now and well, for the past 10 yrs didn't wear much make-up, but before that, i wore it religiously, and would typically last for 6-8 hours with one application, with the exception of lipstick. i just don't have the time to spend re-applying my make-up at work, which is in a major department store. any suggestions?
