Hi I'd like some ideas for Las Vegas style entertainment for a 30th birthday party? I am planning a Casino Royale party for a 30th & 50th birthday party. Monte Carlo glamour, Vegas Entertainment. I have casino tables/coupiers booked, elvis impersonator. But need some more music ideas and prize ideas for best dressed etc.

What is the best entertainment deal in Las Vegas? I am a local, and I have to put together an evening of entertainment for the board of governors of a non-profit organization which provides free medical care to children. In Pittsburgh we have a thing called the city paper It list all the bars in the entire city and what bands thay have playing on what nights along with DJ's. It list all of them by the type of music they are playing. Is there something like this for Las Vegas? The only thing I can find is the listings for the big hotel shows I'd like to know what is going on in the small local bars.
Las Vegas Entertainment for fiance's 40th? A friend of mine is taking her fiance to Las Vegas for his 40th bday. It would be a 4-day getaway, it needs to be fun and romantic, and they want to incorporate some (mild) adult entertainment for him (since it is his bday, the entertainment will mostly be centered around what HE'd find fun to do). She asked for my opinion, but I've only been to Vegas once, years ago, and I think my experience was VERY limited....I was with my parents. I thought maybe the Fantasy show at Luxor or something. Any good ideas on what they could do? Insider tips, discounts, great clubs/acts to check-out, places to stay, etc..? They'd be going in September. Oh, he also LOVES Texas Hold 'Em poker. Their budget is probably pretty low...maybe 1 show, a decent hotel (the Luxor is right up their alley, which is why I suggested it), a couple of good restaurants, 1 spa treatment, 2 nights of mild gambling, etc...

Is Las Vegas considered the entertainment capital of the world? If so, then why is it so difficult to find open mike night for comedy (for wanna bes like me) to participate in? Could any one here provide me some good places to go to for open mike night please? (Las Vegas residents only.) Why would I want to open my own club? I barely have money for rent! As for a club, I want open night to see if I am any good, get experience and create a following. I cannot get into a real club as a real act if I do not have that. So it would great if you help me with real useful information so I could get this career off the ground. I know for sure the tropicana does NOT have open mike night for amatuer's to test their talent. I been there. However, I have not checked the other ones yet. I will when I move back. Is there any smaller clubs that prefer smaller acts? No duh kappy. As for a small hick town, not a good idea for small towns usually do not have ANYTHING much less a comedy club. Believe me I lived in one myslef. If I was going on tour to make a name for my self, I would tour their bars and give them a laugh or too. That would be step two. Las Vegas Entertainment Info Please? My wife and I are leaving for Vegas tomorrow. We have booked the Hoover Dam Tour, and have prepaid transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. Any last minute things we have to see. We are married so seeing adult shows are out. We do not drink or smoke so bars are out. Which is better, the 2008 Las Vegas Entertainment Book, the American Casino Guide, or the Pocketbook of Values We are going to Vegas in March and I am trying to decide if it is worth my while to buy one of these, and if so, which one. We don't rent a car so we spend our entire trip on the strip. The main places we go to eat are the Rio Buffet, the Spice Market Buffet, Sherwood Forest Cafe, Quark's bar, and any other buffet at one of the hotels on the south end of the strip. I want to try the Excalibur buffet, but I've read a lot of bad reviews. We plan on going to the Adventuredome, Star Trek Experience, the Shark Reef, the Dolphin Habitat, watching the Masquerade floats, etc. We will really only be gambling at Excalibur or nearby, and I may entertain eating somewhere downtown one day if there is a good coupon. Which one would be better? I noticed that the Entertainment book has coupons for A free admission to the Star Trek Experience and a free admission to the Adventuredome. That's like $50 in savings, right? Any help would be appreciated!
Best way of reaching Las Vegas for Entertainment Employment? Just got back and I am one of those people that have to live there now...I am that crazy about it. There is more opportunity than you can shake a stick at. I partied 10% of my 4 day trip and the rest of it I searched for employment in the Computer Industry. I was hired at 3 places. Lucky me. Got a great cheap deal for flights from Montana and 3 nights at an on-strip hotel for under $400 for two people. What would the drawbacks be to Las Vegas having a major league team? Would small market fan bases book travel to Vegas to coincide with their team playing there?
